In order to use a Presenter Remote that is not programmable, you will have to change the hotkeys in EasyWorship to match the hotkeys that your remote emulates.  Follow the instructions below to change your hotkeys.
EasyWorship 2007
  1.   Close EasyWorship.
  2.   Click the link below for the Operating System that you are using.
  3.   Click the option to run the file.
  4.   lick the install button.
  5.   If prompted to overwrite, click Yes.
  6.  The install box will disappear and you can reopen EasyWorship.

  6  Note: The Live column in EasyWorship has to be selected before the remote can control what is going to the projector.

Manually Changing The Hotkeys For EasyWorship 2007
1.  Browse to the following path.

Windows 9x/ME: C:>WINDOWS>All Users>Application Data>Softouch>EasyWorship>Settings>hotkeys.ini
Windows 2000/XP: C:>Documents and Settings>All Users>Application Data>Softouch>EasyWorship>Settings>hotkeys.ini
Windows Vista: C:>Program Data>Softouch>EasyWorship>Settings>hotkeys.ini
If you can't find the folder, make sure you have the option to view hidden folders turned on. In Control panel open folder options. Click on the View tab. Select the option to Show hidden files and folders
2.  Double Click the HotKeys.ini file to open it.
     It will open in notepad allowing you to make changes.
3. Make the following changes, adding the numbers in bold to make EasyWorship match your non programmable presenter remote.

  • You will need to know what each value is. Each item can have multiple keys separated by comas; for example, SlideNextKeys = 78, 40, 32 which is N, Down, and Space.
  • If you want to use the CTRL or ALT, key simply precede the number with C-, or A- or CA- for both CTRL and ALT together; for example, BlackScreenKeys = C-66 which is CTRL-B.

EasyWorship 2006 and earlier versions
You may be able to use nonprogramable remotes that use page up and page down to advance the slides.  You will have to change the the hotkeys in EasyWorship to accomodate these remotes. 
  1. Close EasyWorship.
  2. Click Here
  3. Click run when prompted to run or save the file.
  4. It will ask you if you want to add the information to your registery.
  5. Click Yes. 
  6. A prompt will appear advising that the information has been successfully entered.
  7. Click OK.
Note: This file will only work on Windows XP systems.
If you don't want to keep these settings, Click Here and follow steps 2-6 above to restore your hotkeys to default.
